What is Cosy-Climbing?

Cosy-Climbing is the official international Kreedz community for unofficial maps.

Maps which haven't been submitted and/or haven't been accepted by Xtreme-Jumps are considered to be the unofficial kreedz maps.

A brief paragraph how all this started:
It was founded in 2009 by Nikola, JumbalaR and puppetz . Its purpose was to be a community for players who can't manage to make world records on Xtreme-Jumps. Therefore, the was a rule saying "You cannot submit demos on Cosy-Climbing if you have two or more demos on Xtreme-Jumps". It worked well at that time but soon it has become inactive. A lot of things have happened and currently Cosy-Climbing holds the unofficial maps.

How to contact an admins?

There are several ways to do that and thehe fastest would be by sending them a private message on the website. Other options are to ask them for their steam account at the chatbox/forum. You can see the admin list here.

Please, do not bother admins with questions like "I need a plugin", "When is the next demo release", "How to longjump" and so on. Use the forum for that.

I would like to change my nickname. How can I do that?

Currently this is not an available option.
If it's really important for you, please contact one of our head admins.

How can I get VIP status?

VIP status get people who have made a noticable contribution to Cosy-Climbing. Those people are listed here.

You can also obtain VIP status by buying it from the kreedz shop, using KZ points.

I have made a new world record. Where should I submit my demo?

You can use the Submit Demos page. You should submit your demo in .rar format. The demo file should be named like kreedz_map_jumper_0000.00.rar. You have to read the demo rules before uploading a demo. If problems occur while uploading your demo, we suggest you to try with different browsers like Firefox, Chrome or IE. If this doesn't help, please contact an admin.

What penalty will the cheaters get?

It doesn't matter if they cheat on the server with hacks/scrpits or they cheat on the demos with hack/scripts - they get permanent ban (and if they've cheated in demos, demos get removed).

When do the admins make the demo release?

Admins do the demo releases whenever they can.
Do not ask when the next release will be.
People who asks for demo release will get a warning!

What are KZ points?

Everytime you beat a demo, you'll get amount of points. This amount depends on the time difference between your demo and the current demo and it's also based on how many times that particular map has been beaten.
We use this formula to give points to the players:

((PrevTime - CurrenTime) * MapBeaten) / CurrentTime * 100

If a map doesn't have record you will get 1 point.
Those KZ Points will get you VIP features, which you can get on the kreedz shop.

What does a VIP status give?

There are different VIP packages you can buy using KZ Points.
You cannot buy VIP status with money.
For more information what KZ Points are, please check "What are KZ points?" here, on the FAQ.
The 3 different packages for which you can buy are: Website VIP, Server VIP and mIRC VIP.

Website VIP:
- ability to see uploaded demos
- ability to download uploaded demos (in exchange for KZ Points) before they're released
- ability to upload demos on submit demos when the quota is full (there is special quota for VIPs only, check Submit Demos for more information
- you can put a star next to your nickname
- you can colour your username
- you have access to the VIP forums
- You have a suggestion? Please use this form.

Server VIP:
- ability to use hook
- ability to use noclip
- ability to use godmode
- ability to use /finish command
- ability to use glow menu
- VIP on the player status menu
- VIP model

mIRC VIP: This VIP package is currently unavailable as mIRC for the KZ communities has sadly died and people do not use it anymore.

What are Top15 points?

Years ago, when we had our servers running we used to rank people by #1 places, which was quite uneffective as you might have a lot of #2 and #3 records and not show on the ranking list.
After some time nucLeaR came up with the idea about different ranking system - based on your place on the maps (you can read the original thread here).
Our current way of sorting the players is using this formula:
points = (16 - place of top15 entry #1) + (16 - place of top15 entry #2) + (16 - place of top15 entry #N) + #1st records*3 + 2nd records*2

If you have hard time understanding this, it basically means the more #1 records you get, the more points you get.
Of course, you can sort people in different ways on the Top15 Player Ranking.

Those points are different than KZ points and both have nothing to do with each other:
- KZ Points is a reward for the demos on the website.
- Top15 Points are used for ranking the players on the server.

What plugins is the server running with?

Our main plugin was originally made by SchlumPF* for an older community called KZ-Friends which was running around 2008. This plugins was developed further by Nikola with help from friends. It is private and it cannot be downloaded.

Server is Steamed?

All the Counter-Strike game servers we had, we have or we will have are steamed.

Longjumps on Cosy-Climbing?

We will not host long jump demos.
We will not put long jump stats plugin in our server.

Cosy-Climbing's demos/maps on my website?

Hotlinking to Cosy-Climbing's demos and/or maps is forbidden!

However, you can use several files to help you use Cosy's system:
- maps.txt - full map info
- maps_small.txt - small map info
- demos.txt - full demo info
- demos_small.txt - small demo info
- jumpers.txt - full jumper info

How to connect my top15 profile with my user profile?

You should enter your Steam ID on the user settings page. After that they will be connected.
